FINE ART
Burst 1
Burst is one of my abstract experiments. Burst is a series I am building by using my raw emotion as a theme.
Burst 1 is a piece that I worked on for a year, adding a colour that felt right in moments of intense emotion. Anger and happiness, depression and peace all forming one year in visual form.

FLORAL ARRANGEMENT
This beautiful piece was a palette knife project I did for a family member's office. Both Rococo and Impressionist styles greatly inspire me and feature a pot of flowers from above. The piece allowed me to express myself and work more loosely than I usually would.

PURPLE SCAPES
This set of paintings was part of a commission I did. The only instruction was for landscapes that would look good and fit the theme of a purple room. That gave me the perfect excuse to compose a stunning and dreamlike set. of landscapes to match the room.

ABSTRACT
WIGGLES 1
During a time when I was suffering from a bit of art block, I wanted to break it at all costs. To do this, I started by drawing lines on a canvas I had standing around. After drawing the lines, I just painted the spaces with the colours that felt right, and before I knew it I was making patterns and had a complete work of art. I truly fell in love with this process and now it is a perfect way for me break through any art block.

A DAY IN THE DUNES
This painting was a true honour to paint. This was my first commission from an international client. The brief was to paint something that reminds my client of Namibia. They love the dunes and the gemsbok you see in Namibia and wanted a painting to remind them of their trip they had to the beautiful country.

WEDDING FLORALS
During my wedding preparations, I wanted to include my love of painting in our wedding. Since I was already doing all of the design work for the day, I jumped at the chance to make three paintings to be the main design elements in the designs. After the stunning day, I gifted a painting to my mother and my mother-in-law and kept the last for myself as a memorial of the day.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY
Small but mighty is a collection I started to ensure I make time for my passion for art even in the busy schedule I had as a full-time designer. Each painting is a small canvas with a simple but endearing composition of things I cherish and love in life. Each focuses on just one thing, allowing me to lose myself in the painting but not feel crushed under the weight of its time and size like the bigger works I also love. I have found such a love for these few small paintings, while they are smaller and less complex than my other work, they kept me going and fulfilled when I needed it.

MOTHERA
This artwork is similar to the Small but Mighty series. Inspired by the moth that is part of that series. I enjoyed painting the moth so much that it inspired me to paint others and include other insects in my future works possibly.

ABSTRACT WIGGLES 2
After painting Abstract Wiggles 1, I so enjoyed it that I craved to paint another. Abstract Wiggles 2 was also particularly nice to paint due to its unconventional shape. The colours on the other hand I kept the same as before, because I found it eye caching and striking.

CRACEN'S DEN
Cracens Den started out as an abstract work, however, the colours and shapes formed into a stormy and restless sea. In reaction to this development, I simply continued and finished the piece in the direction I felt it chose for itself.

SUNSHINE
Sunshine is simply a painting I made to acknowledge my care and love for sunflowers. They might not be my favourite, however, it is still stunning and I can't help but paint it.

ABSTRACT WIGGLES 3
Abstract Wiggles 3 is a set of two canvases that form a pair in my abstract range. This time, I decided to try a different colour combination, though. The colours I chose are all in a blue hue but the tones and shades differ to bring contrast to the paintings in the same way the colours on the previous abstract paintings do.

ABSTRACT WIGGLES 4
After changing the colours in the abstract range, I decided to do another abstract painting in a different colour again. This time around, I decided on a black-and-white scheme, purely out of curiosity about how it would look.

FIERCE
Fierce is one of the pieces I did the most research on before touching any medium. During my research, I wanted to find a bird to illustrate my rage and angst. Turns out the chicken is a terror of a bird. Their bird cousins who carry much bigger and fiercer presences, turns out do not to carry the same amount of sheer willpower and anger as a chicken. After working on this palette knife piece, I will think twice before calling someone a chicken again.

ABSTRACT WIGGLES 5
While moving, Abstract Wiggles one sustained damage. This saddened me because this painting would now no longer be accessible to the public. Not being one to wallow over things I can not change, I painted Abstract Wiggles 5. Using the same colours but a different pattern. I enjoyed it very much and even if Abstract Wiggles 1 will now be confined to only my home's wall I still love it.

ABSTRACT WIGGLES 6
Abstract wiggles 6 is yet another three-piece set. This time around I used a warm colour palette with red, yellow, brown, black and white. The canvas sizes I used were also selected to not be the same for all three. I love the look it creates and I think it looks very modern.
