PROJECTS

Bridgette Nicholson

Bridgette Nicholson is one of my long-term clients for whom I create icons and illustrations. Bridgette

has a stunning program for children who need different learning needs than the general learning tools available in schools and taught.

These icons are some of the icons that I have created for her stunning project, and they focus on a very joyful and engaging look and feel.

These are the tools I used to design this:

Adobe Photoshop

Procreate

Adobe Illustrator

A-Eye Email signature

Another essential part of any brand is email signatures. For A-Eye Foundation, I needed to design an email signature that looks soft and caring due to the nature of the non-profit. To communicate this soft and caring nature, I designed the email signature with round edges and soft tones.

These are the tools I used to design this:

Adobe Illustrator

NEOC Social media

For NEOC People, one of my responsibilities was to generate imagery and content for their social media. This included social media management, still images, image carousels, gifs, videos, and captions. Posting and keeping up with post engagement was also one of my responsibilities here.

For this task, I used:

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Illustrator

ALVA Group Email Signature

Another one of the elements I needed to design for ALVA group was the email signatures. I had to do the same as I have been doing for the other brand elements, which is to design one for each division.

These are the tools I used to design this:

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Photoshop

ALVA Group Profile

One of the first things I had to design for ALVA group was, naturally, their company profile. This was the outline for their services and the first part of branded media. The rest of the branding I did have to fall into the style of the profile.

These are the tools I used to design this:

NUMBERS OF REJECCTION

In South Africa the amount of people who struggle to get work, and I am no exception.

During one of these periods, when I was looking around and facing constant rejection, I needed to change the narrative and fuel my creativity. I got the idea from a podcast I was listening to, to turn each rejection I encountered into something good.

Each time I didn't get called back, didn't get the next interview or didn't get the job I would make a new monster number. At first, it felt satirical and sad but after a while, it really helped to cheer me up and build my portfolio in the process.

For this projectc I also purely used ProCreate

EDITORIAL ILLUSTRATION

This project was an editorial project to illustrate images for an article on choices and the amount of choices people are faced with and the effect those choices have on the mental state of people. Since this deals with a topic caused by industrialisation creating these many choices for people I decided to go in the direction of German expressionism and create a world filled with factory elements like panels pipes and buttons. The buttons represent the choices one has and the obstacle-like layout shows that these choices are difficult to make.
